From the project

An open source hardware device that has cellular, wifi, bluetooth, GPS, and more!

This board primarily targets cellular connectivity but also has the ability to connect to/interact with WiFi networks; it can also be used for supplemental features such as Wi-Fi locationing. An on-board power management unit facilitates a large array of power options, including LiPo via the onaboard connector and charging capabilities, but also up to 48V input for industrial applications. There are are array of sensors and other other commonly used support ICs. Prominently featured on Aludel boards, including this one, are headers that conform to the MikroBus standard. Elixir hw: common questions

What microcontroller does the Elixir hw use?

The Elixir hw is built around the ESP32-C3-MINI-1-N4, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Elixir hw PCB?

The Elixir hw measures 71.5 × 71.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Elixir hw?

218 components, from 77 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Elixir hw design files?

From the golioth/elixir-hw repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Elixir hw design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which golioth chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Elixir hw without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
