From the project

ESP32 WiFi / BLE Development board with Ethernet interface, Relays, microSD card

- revision A - internal, not released - revision B - initial public release - revision C - changes:

1. MicroUSB connector moved back, 40 mils to the middle of the board. 2. All mounting holes are now connected to GND. 3. Improved the ground layer around the infra red's pads and wires.

1. Changed R38 from 10k/0603 to 100k/0603 to lower the time without clock 2. Changed C28 from 100n/0603 to 10n/0603 to increase the time in reset

ESP-EVB: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP-EVB use?

The ESP-EVB is built around the ESP-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP-EVB PCB?

The ESP-EVB measures 75.2 × 74.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP-EVB?

145 components, from 61 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP-EVB design files?

From the OLIMEX/ESP32-EVB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP-EVB design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which OLIMEX chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ESP-EVB without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
