From the project

S-100 bus boards designed and built: Z80 and 80386 CPU cards, SRAM/DRAM memory, CPLD/FPGA I/O and SPI boards, an 18-slot backplane and bus terminator. KiCad designs with Xilinx XC9500 CPLD and Spartan-6 FPGA logic, with the original design history replayed in git.

An S-100 interrupt and SPI board: an 8259A interrupt controller on the bus vectored-interrupt lines, an XC95288XL CPLD driving an SPI bus (DS1305 RTC, two MCP23S08 port expanders) and eight M25P80 SPI flash chips that can be loaded over USB (2016). The project name is S100 PICSPIv1; the board carries no title text.

- Board size: 254.0 × 134.1 mm (10.0 × 5.28 in), standard S-100 outline, 2 layers. - KiCad: 2013-07-07 stable (BZR 4022); .kicadpcb format version 3. - Headers: P12 "Incomming Interrupt Channels" (jumpers route each VIx line to 8259 IRx); JPx1–JPx8 "BOARD Interrupt Channel…

S10 PIC SPI v1: common questions

What microcontroller does the S10 PIC SPI v1 use?

The S10 PIC SPI v1 is built around the PIC18F1330, from the PIC family.

How big is the S10 PIC SPI v1 PCB?

The S10 PIC SPI v1 measures 254 × 134.1 mm and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the S10 PIC SPI v1?

163 components, from 62 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the S10 PIC SPI v1 design files?

From the CatspersCoffee/S100-Boards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the S10 PIC SPI v1 design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the S10 PIC SPI v1 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug PIC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
