From the project

ESP32indEVB

This board is based on ESP32-S3 chip and microcontoller - There are the following physical communication interfaces

a) debug USB (it is connected to a UARTport of ESP32-S3)

c) isolated CANBUS with termination resistor

d) isolated RS485 with termination resistor

- There is a free section of testpoints for experiment

This is the third version of the board. With respect to the second version, some nets have been renamed and stiching vias along the board perimeter have been added

ESP32indEVB: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESP32indEVB use?

The ESP32indEVB is built around the ESP32-S3FN8, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the ESP32indEVB PCB?

The ESP32indEVB measures 99.2 × 94.2 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.229999 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESP32indEVB?

194 components, from 66 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESP32indEVB design files?

From the gmarocco/ESP32indEVB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESP32indEVB design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with gmarocco. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ESP32indEVB without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
