About the Cisc-8 PCB

Cisc-8 is an open source PCB design by nailed-barnacle, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 299.7 × 198.1 mm, with 315 components from 22 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC574, 74HC138, 74HC08, 74HC541 and 74HC32. By type, the board carries 159 ICs, 155 capacitors and 1 connector.

From the project

A cut-down version of the 8080 processor using HCTTL and including a discrete ALU and instruction decoder

This is an attempt to replicate most of the functionality of the 1970s Intel 8080 processor using contemporary HCTTL surface mount components.

By implementing most - though by no means all - of the instructions of the 8080 it allows the use of existing toolchains to generate code for the device both for the hardware implementation and the associated simulation.
