About the 68000 PCB
68000 is an open source PCB design by jefftranter, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 134.6 × 208.3 mm, with 90 components from 30 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the 555, 8 MHz, 74LS00, 74LS06 and 74LS04. By type, the board carries 42 capacitors, 37 ICs, 9 resistors, 1 crystal and 1 diode.
It belongs with the retro computing and usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.
From the project
Code related to the Motorola 68000 microprocessor.
This is a Kicad project for the Teesside TS2 single board computer from the book "Microprocessor Systems Design - 68000 Hardware, Software, and Interfacing", third edition, by Alan Clements.
This is a modified version that simplifies the design by removing circuitry that is not needed for operation as a single board computer. Specifically, removed was:
- backplane interface and associated buffering.
