From the project

Discrete 3rd-order delta-sigma audio ADC: stacked KiCad PCBs, SPICE simulations, 3D-printable enclosure, and laser-cut acrylic top

Rev D is the through-hole HAT built from the DTU shop's drawers. Rev E is the same circuit in surface-mount parts from any distributor (or PCBWay's assembly service), on a board a fifth the size of rev D's first layout. The sheet is drawn by tools/revelayout.py, which calls rev D's block functions unchanged and only swaps footprints and four part numbers, and tools/checkrevd.py vinyladcreve` runs rev D's own gate on it: the netlist is the reference sheet plus exactly rev D's additions, nothing inside the modulator loop moved.

Vinyl adc rev e: common questions

What microcontroller does the Vinyl adc rev e use?

The Vinyl adc rev e is built around the RASPBERRY PI 4, from the Raspberry Pi family.

How big is the Vinyl adc rev e PCB?

The Vinyl adc rev e measures 118 × 88 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Vinyl adc rev e?

177 components, from 65 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Vinyl adc rev e design files?

From the MadsRudolph/vinyl-adc repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Vinyl adc rev e design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MadsRudolph. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Vinyl adc rev e without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
