Custom board designs for MiSTle projects

This is a minimalistic base board for the Tang Nano 20K. It features:

Headers to plug the Tang Nano 20K Integrated RP2040 intended to run the FPGA Compantion firmware. A USB-A host port A USB-C port for flashing and/or power supply

PCBA production files for JLCPCB are availble here.

The board design was in inspired and is partly based on this RP2040 design guide.

Misteryshield20k lite: common questions

What microcontroller does the Misteryshield20k lite use?

The Misteryshield20k lite is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Misteryshield20k lite PCB?

The Misteryshield20k lite measures 22.6 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Misteryshield20k lite?

43 components, from 25 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Misteryshield20k lite design files?

From the MiSTle-Dev/Boards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Misteryshield20k lite design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MiSTle-Dev. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Misteryshield20k lite without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
