About the LittleSixteen PCB

LittleSixteen is an open source PCB design by SukkoPera, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 389 × 136.2 mm, with 329 components from 117 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MOS_7360_TED, MOS_8501, 23128_BASIC, 23128_KERNAL and 74HCT02. By type, the board carries 81 capacitors, 59 inductors, 51 resistors, 37 diodes, 35 ICs and 16 connectors.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

Enhanced Commodore Plus/4 Home Computer

LittleSixteen is an Open Hardware remake of the Commodore 16, 116 and Plus/4 home computers, featuring many improvements over the original design.

The new goal of this project is to allow anyone to build a very significant home computer from the '80s from scratch, only using parts that can be found on the market [^almost]. The design is fully through-hole so no particular soldering skills are required for the assembly. The estimated cost of ALL materials (case and power supply included) for a single complete machine is around 250-300€.
