Its main chip is the STM32F405RGT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the MS5611, MMC5883MA, ICM-20689, MP1470 and SPX3819M5. By type, the board carries 40 resistors, 38 capacitors, 17 diodes, 13 ICs, 13 connectors and 3 inductors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, rf & radio and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Collections of hardware design related to my drone project.

WARNING: The PCB design has not been fabricated, Use with caution!

- A UBlox ZOE-M8Q GPS receiver is added while external GPS receiver can still be used by changing solder jumpers. - The onboard DC-DC converter is now MP1470, which supports 2~3s Li-Po.

SimpleFC G: common questions

What microcontroller does the SimpleFC G use?

The SimpleFC G is built around the STM32F405RGT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the SimpleFC G PCB?

The SimpleFC G measures 42 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SimpleFC G?

130 components, from 71 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SimpleFC G design files?

From the wangyeee/OpenHardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SimpleFC G design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which wangyeee chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SimpleFC G without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
