WARNING: The PCB design has not been fabricated, Use with caution!

- Onboard UBlox GPS receiver has been removed to reduce PCB size. - The MAG3110 magnetometer is replaced by MMC5883MA. - The 4 pin SWD connector has been replaced by 10-pin JTAG connector, with JTDI/JTDO signals available. - Schematics libraries have been updated to latest version from the KiCAD github repo. - One additional LED is added to the board, with 5 in total. - Optimization of MCU pin usage, all IO pins are used in this version, refer to the following table for details.

SimpleFCv2: common questions

What microcontroller does the SimpleFCv2 use?

The SimpleFCv2 is built around the STM32F405RGT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the SimpleFCv2 PCB?

The SimpleFCv2 measures 42 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SimpleFCv2?

119 components, from 58 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SimpleFCv2 design files?

From the wangyeee/OpenHardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SimpleFCv2 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which wangyeee chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SimpleFCv2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
