About the MSX ONE PCB

MSX ONE is an open source PCB design by jdgabbard, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 200 × 150 mm, with 107 components from 58 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HCT74, Z80CPU, MAX701, 74HCT32 and 74LS07. By type, the board carries 38 capacitors, 24 ICs, 22 resistors, 9 connectors, 8 diodes and 3 inductors.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

MSX 1 Computer from discrete parts

Currently, v1.0 of the Mainboard is untested. Three insignificant changes were made to the mainboard from version P1.1: the addition of a loading resistor on the -12v circuit, addition of a power connector for external floppy support, and a slight change to page select logic (should have no impact in function). However, with that in mind, it is at this time untested. Use of Prototype P1.1 version of the main board is preferable, as it is tested and functional at this time. This will be changed as soon as I have a chance to order new boards and properly test them, in a few weeks.
