From the project

The purpose of Project Wrass is to develop the Wrass 1.

The purpose of Project Wrass is to develop the Wrass 1.

A 6502 based computer having the following specs.

W65C02 running at 2Mhz Bankable RAM giving a total of approx 300KB of usable memory * Expansion bus for up to 16 devices

The 16KB ROM is bankable using an external switch. This allows the computer to run "2 sets" of software.

The existing one is a simple homebrew "monitor" giving access to simple read, write and jump commands.

All in one smc: common questions

What microcontroller does the All in one smc use?

The All in one smc is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the All in one smc PCB?

The All in one smc measures 161.1 × 82.9 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the All in one smc?

146 components, from 73 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the All in one smc design files?

From the nojan1/project-wrass repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the All in one smc design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with nojan1. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the All in one smc without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
